Celebrating our Form 5 Leaders

It was a momentous and memorable day for the 32 Form 5 boys who were appointed to positions of leadership at the College. Of these young men, 25 were appointed as Full Prefects, while a further seven were appointed as Boarder Prefects. Their appointments marked an important milestone in their school careers and the beginning of a new chapter filled with responsibility, service, and leadership.

A special assembly was held to formally announce the appointments, during which Mr Van Blerk proudly introduced the newly appointed leaders. Following the announcement, each prefect signed the Prefect Creed, symbolising their commitment to uphold the values, traditions, and responsibilities entrusted to them. Parents, members of staff, and the newly appointed leaders were then invited to a beautifully arranged and elegant tea in the Prep Pavilion. The occasion provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this significant achievement together, with parents and their sons sharing a truly special moment.

While this day marked an important achievement, it is only the beginning of the many leadership opportunities that await these young men and other young men at the College. The new prefects will be shadowing the current prefects for the next two weeks and learning the ropes before taking over after the Speech Night presentation.
